Greydon is a human 5 foot 10 inches in height about 28 years of age has light brown hair and blue gray eyes. He wears gray robes with white skulls embroidered on the edges around his neck he wears a medallion that depicts a skeletal hand clutching a coin that has a skull on the face with stylized sunrays flowing from the edges of the coin. He wears mages spell component bags and a plain dagger he has a spare dagger in his boot Nicholas was born on the plain known to the native of the Prime Material as the Plain of Concordant Opposition, which is known to its natives as the Outlands. He is the son of Gary and Melinda Greydon. Gary is a very rich member of the Merkant sect that believes money to al powerful and its collection the true purpose for life. His mother Melinda is a member of the Fated who believe that making something your gives you the right to have it the two have a happy marriage Nick has 1 sibling a brother named Jeremy who is a devoted Merkant himself Nicholas Greydon had it all money political pull a beautiful fiance Linda and was born first so sure to inherit his fathers vast fortune and position with the Merkants. That all came to an end when Linda came down with a terrible magical illness. Nicholas spared no expense hiring the very best clerics and mages to care for his beloved but to no avail the illness quickly consumed the girl killing her every time she was raised to life the terrible illness came back stronger slaying her once more. Realizing his efforts to hold on to her were causing only pain to Linda he had the mages and clerics stop their efforts For about 2 years Nicholas wandered the plains disillusioned his money came to nothing in saving his love his belief in it was shattered. He spoke to the faction philosophers looking for something new to believe for a short time he studied with the Bleak Cabal but he did not stay with them for he felt there had to be a higher reason for his loves death. Finally he found the Dustmen and he came to be a student of death. He invested most of his fortune in a very large mausoleum for Linda where she lays preserved by oils of timelessness in a glass coffin where Nick studied death both philosophically and via the power of Necromantic magic's Nicholas sought to fully understand the true meaning of death and undeath Life and Unlife and where stood the line between one and the other. He is not evil in fact he often volunteer his time working with the terminally ill easing there last days and often has he gleaned insight in the that which lies beyond from those on the edge of death. He also freely distributes all knowledge he comes across in the way of cures and medicines in remembrance of Linda Nicholas' family disowned him making his brother Jeremy the heir to the family money. Nicholas then changed his family crest, which depicted a hand clutching a coin with the face symbol of the Fated in to a skeletal hand clutching a skull-faced coin. Representing Nicolas' belief that death is more powerful then money. Nicholas traveled the planes learning all he could of death. Latter he realized since most of the petionars who live on the plane come from the Prime and the gods draw most of there power from the believers that worship them on the Prime the Prime might well conceal with in it some of the knowledge he seeks Nicholas came to travel on the Prime learning of spelljamming he was intrigued by the Flow and the Ephemeral sprits that form there. The flow being cut off from the plain he feels these restless sprits may understand more of life and death with out the influence of the alignment bound plains Nick is fairly wealthy but raised to hoard his resources. He often hires on to a ship that is traveling through the flow rather then pay for passage. He will however hire a ship when he needs to undertake special tasks usually either to do research or seek some wise man or sage who might hold knowledge Nicholas feel he needs Nick might be found serving as a helmsman on a ship, in the employ of someone who needs the service of a necromancer (undead crews do not eat sleep breath or require pay) or he might be found as an employer on one of his trips to exotic locales to conduct strange experiment or just to find a enlighten sage.
