Description: An average sized kobold (2'10", 70 lbs) Gibblet often prances
around in nothing but a soiled loin cloth, and at other times, he often
skips around in his Royal Yaksman kilt. Gibblet's speechs often consist of
"Gibblet great, Gibblet great chieftan, Gibblet commands great juju,
Gibblet wants eats and treats eats and treats." etc. Even though Gibblet
refers to him self constantly in the third person, he is rather smart, yet
he talks like a human child. The kobolds on the other hand see this as a
sign of great leader and know that Gibblet is indeed a true descendant of
Kobold royalty (on all sides of his family :>)
History: Gibblet started life living among his tribesmen in the underdark
with a constant and annoying habit of refering to himself in the third
person. To the shamans of his tribe Gibblet represented a threat as any
kobold who talks in the third person is destined to become a mighty and
powerful chieftan, and the shamans didn't want Gibblet spoiling their good
deal in the tribe. So when a mighty wizardress decided to call for a
familiar the shamans immediatly sent Gibblet to her. Finding himself
entranced with the mage Gibblet immediatly started doing the Kobold
courting dance trying to drag the mage back to his cave, unfortunatly the
mage Cassandra ended up bonding Gibblet as her familiar.
Finding himself thrust into trying to protect his mistress in the
underdark, and advance his case for taking the beautiful female warrior of
the party as his mate Gibblet soon began his path to chieftanhood. (We
were playing Underdark Campign) Earning his keep as a mighty warrior and
rogue Gibblet found a shiny copper ring after the defeat of a group of
Grells the first of his strong juju collection. But Gibblets time with the
party was not to be, as soon afterwards they defeated a mighty magus but
accidently caused a wild surge that flunge Cassandra and Gibblet into
wildspace (not to mention turning the paladin into a giant drow spider).
In space Gibblet and Cassandra found themselves in a deserted kobold base
with an ancient Angel ship, after a few accidental adventures both
Cassandra and Gibblet learnt much of wildspace and returned to Realmsspace,
and soon rejoined their party, leaving the Angleship hidden. After
defeating the evil behind their adventure (I don't want to spoil the
module for anyone) Gibblet and Cassandra returned to wildspace with a
number of leaderless kobolds who Gibblet freed from slavery.
The Frost Fire, Gibblets ship has 60 kobolds crewing it, and has three
Kobold shamans (2,1,4) who are overshadowed by Cassandra (MU 10, Int 17, hp
21 hF, CN) whos magic provides a large advantage in any battles the Frost
Fire enters. The Frost Fire's main shaman Uth'nok bitterly detests the
fact the Cassandra is such a powerful mage, but he supports Gibblet
fanaticly hoping eventualy to replace Cassandra as the most powerful magic
user under Gibblet.
In combat Gibblet prefers sculking asteriod fields and attacking solitary
merchants for prey, having a certain rough wisdom "Gibblet not fight big
mean nasty ship and lose, Gibblet fight small weak ship and win. If
Gibblet sees big mean ship Elfy or Scroy Gibblet run away." As well
Gibblet often takes on passengers and cargos of uncertain natures, happy to
turn a profit, and confident in his great juju. Gibblet has tried so far
to advoid annoying the major players in wildspace, prefering to strike at
the indepenants, and of course by accident the occasional adventuring company.
As a villian Gibblet is not a serious combat threat, he is a smart annoying
kobold who prefers humiliation over violence, and in the case of members of
the opposite sex, seduction :> Imagine Gibblet rescuing the adventuers but
demanding in return any magical items they have, or while the parties trys
to break the smuggling ring in the city, Gibblet and his crew are out
"decorating" their ship.
