Final Thoughts from Omnispace.

(Author's Notes: The author wishes to thank Richard Pugh for his invaluable assistance in this work. He also wants to thank Richard for the input and the chapters he contributed.)

This is a piece of fiction, based upon concepts developed in the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition Supplement Spelljammer. The characters portrayed within this work are fictional, and any reference to anyone living or dead in purely intentional...er, ah, I mean UNintentional. yeah.

It has been proven, at least to me, that it's extremely difficult to come up with a few last thoughts on the Omnispace arc.

This story is the end result of two years, since Rich and I first started talking about Spelljammer, let alone a listserver. I wanted to come up with some really grandiose ending, some kick-ass destruction to finish off my sphere.

Yet, in the end, it seemed somehow anti-climatic. There was something...missing from the story. What exactly, I don't know.

In this arc, not only do we see one sphere destroyed, we see some other things happen. Richard and I decided early on that the great ship Crenannon, the Spelljammer herself, should be returned to Wildspace. This arc accomplished that. We were able to find a logical, realistic way to bring Teldin Moore back to the rest of the Universe. We've also started to supply the ship with some new blood, starting with refugees from Omnispace. Who else will be on the ship? Only time will tell.

Also, since we came up with everyone's favorite villan, "Te'Ess-Arr", I thought it might not be that bad of an idea to tie in TSR's actions in cancelling the Spelljammer line INTO the story. Through what we've revealled here and in previous stories, we have learned that the Grand Arcane Trading house is responsible for the shake up in Wildspace. Why not have life imitate art?

The irony was too delicious to pass up. We've fleshed out Te'Ess-Arr, tied up a couple loose ends (Vodanispace from SJR4 needed something else to happen to it in my opinion...PC's overturned this major superpower, then what happened to it? It just disappear? I think not.) and generally blamed everything on him.

I'm just curious...did anyone out there catch the Spawn of Grienwald reference I made?

This is the most ambitious (to date) project we have done for Spelljammer. I rather like it, but I'm biased. I wrote it. I am therefore asking for opinions; do you think we should let the others out there on the list (and also FNN-TAJ...if you aren't subscribed to this, you should be. I made a lot of references to a lot of the events you saw here in there) know that this piece of fiction is available?

Rich has told me it's linked to his WWW page. This is big, taking up over 300 KB of diskspace. It's close to 150 pages of typed text (according to Word Perfect, which I used to type the story).

What now? Well, there are inhabitants of Omnispace still living in other spheres. With the exception of Lord Monitor, all known magi are dead. That doesn't mean there will be no more magi, however. Already I've got plans to put one...but I'll save that for later.

That's about it...but before I leave, here's a little note from Richard:

Omnispace is gone. Precious few survive. Will this crime go unavenged? Will the crew of the Eternal Wanderer sit back and let the mad Arcane Te'Ess-Arr do it again?

Not on your life.

Te'Ess-Arr is getting ready to play the next card in his twisted plan, but the crew of the Wanderer is hot on his trail, and gearing up for a re-match!

As we speak, I, Richard Pugh, am penning the next adventure, which takes us to Solaris, the home sphere of Hall, Belieth and Tabatha. Some old friends turn up, as well as some old foes. Intrigue, action, personal turmoil, and even a little romance. It's all coming soon...

So that gives you something to look forward to. SOLARIS is the next arc in what we call THE TSR TRILOGY, or words to that effect. Comments, criticism, thanks, money are all appreciated. This hasn't been an effort; it's been a labor of love.

For now, I bid you adieu.
