Adramis is a sphereical size E world with a diameter of 7800 est. miles at the equator. The world has no planetary incline and as a result has no seasons. Adramis maintains an average planetary tenperature of ninety degrees (f). There are glaciers at the poles but their size is not that large only about one hundred miles at the widest points. The atmostsphere is breatable by normal humans. The occational storm does occur, but they are mainly wizard generated, otherwise they are mild drizzles and not navigational hazards to either ground or space ships. The gravity on the surface is comparable to most average campaign worlds. At about one thousand miles below the surface, the gravity increaces to about twice the normal gravity. At about three thousand miles below the surface the gravity is about three times the normal gravity and remains that way till the second layer is once again reached on the other side. The normal day is twenty three hours long and the planet has a year of fourteen months though the only way to mark this is from the orbit of the moon or from space as there are no seasons on the surface.
There are thousands of floating non stationary rocks on the surface of Adramis. The largest of these being three that are three hundred, one hundred and fifty, and the smallest of the three being only fifty miles ant its widest point. The rest only average about five miles at their widest point. The second largest of the Islands is named Florin and is home to the ruling body in the city of Cauldren. The smallest of the islands, Barea, handles most of the off-world trade. The largest of the islands is named Yltran. The whole surface serves as agricultural feilds.
The water is populated with every kind of tropical aquatic life imaginable. The only sentient beings under water are the Sea Elves some Tritons and a small colony of Mermen. Population wise, the Sea Elves are dominent on the planet but this was not the case until just recently. A thousand years ago, the elves were on the brink of extinction and would not exist on the face of this planet if not for the intervension of the Nari (Water Elementalists named for their god). For five decades the Nari hunted the evil Sahugin and other enemies of the Sea Elves to extinction. The Tritons live in the sea with the Sea Elves under standing that the Sea elves have reign over the water (at least in the first layer). The mermen are here with permission and have only a very small presence in the sea. The second layer is populated by all manner on large sea creatures, from Kraken to giant sharks. The third layer is home to several leviathans and many sea dragons and gold dragons.
The true rulers of Adramis are never seen and are simply refered to as the hidden. The Hidden consist mainly of Neried Lords (Female Water Elementalist that have acheived imortality through arcane means and now appear as neried with the spellcasting ability from their mortality. They may advance in power (level) as normal. They work through their "agents" when they need to deal with something in person. The Naridian are specialty priest of the god Naridia (patron of the Nari). They handle the more mundane work, such as regulating trade and solving diputes. Taxes are paid but they are low and are only required when dealing with off-worlders. The normal humans that inhabit the island are either nomads raoming the open sea or live on the small islands that liter the surface. Some of the humans have made floating villiages. The villiages are non stationary.
The social structure of the surface is matriarchal. This is influenced by the fact that those weilding the power are mainly women and have been for generations, since the frist nereid lord was created. Under water the normal behavior of each species is followed. There is an elven precence Cauldren. Represntatives from the Elven Enclave (the Elven government in this sphere) are present to maintain good relations. The Elven Enclave have only a passing relationship with the IEN, each answering the others call for assistance but not interfereing in each others affairs. Nothing happens if it is against the wishes of either the Nari or the Hidden. The distinction between the Nari and the Hidden is almost non existent but one does exist. The Nari are the Water Elementalists the only type of wizards allowed on the planet (except for diplomats and visiting mages). The Nari have power and can weild it effectively, but are not aggressive toward the native population. The hidden are the eight most powerful Nari. By conscent (of all the Nari) they have been given authority over all other Nari and the power to make global decisions.
The planetary defenses consist of Lances, Nari Escorts, and White Dragon Carrier. Lances are 1 ton fighters that are powered by spells and can acheive a SR of 2 and have an MC of B. Nari Escorts are 35 ton ships that are the back bone of the Nari fleet. The Nari Escorts have a armament of two rotating medium catapults at the aft port and staboard sides, three medium balista at the front of the ship, one pointing forward and the others at forty five degrees at either side. It takes ten crew members to man the rigging. There are only five White Dragon Carriers left in service and they rarely leave space doc near the moon. The Carriers are one hundred ton ships that were made by Air mages of B'aslar (the furthest planet form the primary) to asist in the last major war. The Dragon Carriers changed the tide of war in the Nari's favor, and were instrumental in the destruction Peylious (third planet from the primary) now known as the Galebdhur Belt. They resemble White Dragons and fire a Ice Storm spell out of their mouthes that has a range of three hexes. The mouth weapon can be fire once a round until its charges are depleted. They can carry twenty five fighters and one escort can dock on its tail the sails are intgrated into the wings. Rigging requires thirty five men. There are three rotating catapults. one on the under belly, two on the feet of the legs (reversed from the top). The arms have two heavy balista, one on either side.
A type of solid ground marks the end of the first gravity layer. There are twenty foot thick kelp beds that extend for miles. If one were to stand on them they do not move, they appear to be able to hold up four thousand pounds before sinking further, and if they sink they rise up to their previous depth as soon as they are no longer restrained. The last layer of gravity is marked by a complete absence of light and the cold water, almost freezing.
Trask (home of the fire mages) is finally in recovery from their disasterous defete at the hands of the combined forces of the Nari and the B'aslarian Air Mages. They seek revenge by any means neccesary.
Rumors of a new discovered planet are persistant and know they say that the new planet is habitable. Only the Nari know the truth. The Elven Enclave wants to know if its true so that they may fight for a new home world after being exiled from their home by the now nonexistant Earth Mages of Peylious and later having it destroyed. Living in the Galebdhur Belt, remanents of their home world they want to know if it is true. The wandering Earth Priests also seek a new home and are willing to pay any price to learn the truth.
The rumors of a new planet are true now the race is onto see who will control the new planet, or even who deserves.
